Magnetic Personalities

Have you ever met a cow with a magnetic personality?

Cow magnets are cylinder-shaped magnets designed to lie in the first of a cow's four stomachs. The magnet attracts staples, nails and wire the cow accidentally eats, protecting it from serious injury.

Magnets are valuable because they generate a force called a magnetic field. You've seen the effect of a magnetic field when watching a magnet attract or pull an object. Magnets have many uses. Engineers use magnets in motors, speakers, and medical equipment, to name just a few.
