Legislative Information - State Boards and Commissions
LET'S IMPACT THE FUTURE OF
COLORADO
(State of Colorado Board and Commission Information)
The Boards and Commissions Subcommittee of ACEC/CO's Legislative
Committee is in the process of assembling a list of engineers interested
in making a difference by serving on decision making groups.
Governor Bill Ritter makes many new appointments to state boards and
commissions. We want to make sure the governor is aware that there is a
vast pool of talent, energy and know-how available for these positions
in the consulting engineering community.
Check out the website for the Colorado State Boards & Commissions-
http://www.colorado.gov/governor. If you are interested,
please forward your resume and the enclosed application to the ACEC/CO
office as soon as possible. We will be putting them in a booklet to be
given to Governor Ritter so your attention to this is needed post haste.
Since there are many different types of boards, etc. -- some requiring
engineering expertise, others just common sense and a commitment to
making our state a better place to live and work -- it is suggested that
you submit a two-page resume. One page should list your engineering
specialties and background and the other should include your broader
community interests and willingness to serve in areas beyond the
engineering industry.
Include a current photo and do spend some time making your resume an
interesting document to read -- in language, say, a taxi cab driver
would understand.)
