ACEC/CO SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

Thank you for your interest in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Colorado (ACEC/CO).

The scholarship application and qualification information are available through the Colorado engineering and surveying  schools and on this site by late August. The competition is open to engineering and surveying students working toward a B.S. degree, entering their junior, senior, or fifth year (in a five-year program) in the fall of 2007 who are full-time students as determined by their schools.  Students who graduate in December 2007 do not qualify. To qualify, a student must be a U.S. citizen attending a Colorado ABET-accredited engineering or surveying program. Students must be well rounded and active in extracurricular and community benefit programs.  Besides the completed application, students will need to provide an official transcript and completed recommendation form.  The completed application, recommendation form, essay and official transcript will be submitted to the ACEC/CO office, 800 Grant Street, Suite 100, Denver, CO 80203.

From the applications received, the top applicants will be interviewed the first Saturday in November. Local winners will be recognized at a special reception held in late March or early April.  ACEC/CO scholarships will be paid in the beginning of the 2007-08 school year.

• Christi Welter (CSM) will receive the Leonard Rice Scholarship of $5000, 
• Rae Rossetti (CSU) will receive the William Russell Stoneman Scholarship of $4500, 
• Lauren Walker (CSU) will receive the Malcolm and Charles Meurer Scholarship of $4000,
• Kevin Owens (CU-Boulder) will receive the Fu Hua Chen Scholarship of $3000,
• Scott Schnake (CU-Boulder) will receive the Jack Bruce Memorial/APWA Scholarship of $2000
• Levi Smith (CU-Boulder), Daniel Wilson (CSU), and Keri Shafer (CSU) will each receive a $2000 ACEC/CO Scholarship.
